Giving
We believe it is our responsibility to give back.
Visiting the Caribbean changed our lives. We knew that if we ever had the opportunity to return as a band we would have to give back. In 2020 we got to spend some time with the beautiful seniors of St. John. It was the highlight of our trip. We were so lucky that they allowed us to spend part of our day with them.
This year we partnered with Priscilla Lynn of Street Level VI. Proceeds and donations from our Sapphire Beach show went to the SLVI Youth Music Education Program Fund. The Montessori Student Percussion Ensemble (the recipients of the fund) made their debut performance on the Sapphire Beach Bar Stage. It was a wonderful day of music.
This has now become an essential part of all Jaguar Caribbean tours. It is the most rewarding and inspiring thing we can do.
Rick has been lucky enough to work with the incredible organization Musicians on Call. They are a nationwide organization that brings music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.
Rick says it best. “Each time I perform for a patient, staff or family member, I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve with song. I realize how special music is and the significance of its healing power. Every interaction is different. The range of emotions felt is so broad and enveloping. It really connects me to my humanity”
