The Next Chapter

Since Jaguar was not able to make our annual trip to the Caribbean, we decided it would be an excellent time to start recording our album. Rick hooked us up with Vinnie Castaldo at The Tone Factory, plane tickets were booked and we were off to the races. Unfortunately David was not able to make this trip but he is looking forward to our next adventure.

Vegas Baby!

February 1, 2021
Jason and Chris barely escaped a Mid-Atlantic snowstorm and arrived in Las Vegas still wearing their winter coats. It’s amazing to think Chris put this trip together in about a week. After checking the extended Baltimore area weather forecast, it was the perfect time write, record and relax as a band.

Practice

February 2-4, 2021
Jaguar immediately started 3 days of rehearsals to prepare for the recording of the first Jaguar album. We spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the MDV Rehearsal Studios. Thursday we rehearsed at the newly relocated Griffin Studios. We highly recommend both studios. Everyone at the studios were very accommodating. From start to finish it was a blast.

Sunshine, Music and painkillers

February 4-7, 2021
After rehearsals were completed we headed out to see the AGT famous Michael Grim perform an accoustic set at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino. Special thanks to Aunt Renee for the seats and the meet and greet. Mr. Grimm never disappoints.

Friday night we got to see Rick perform at the Bailiwick inside the Orleans Hotel and Casino. As a special treat Rick played our new song A Little Bit More for the first time live. It was a special moment for all of us.

The rest of the weekend was spent in the sun by the pool, hiking and drinking Debra’s Painkillers from the recipe acquired while visiting the Caribbean. I know…. what happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas…. but we all had such a great time I have to tell someone.

If we can’t perform, let’s record.

Jaguar officially began recording our album today. We decided to record our ballad A Little Bit More and our newest collaboration Fly. The experience could not have been more perfect. Vinnie Castaldo and his staff at The Tone Factory have got it going on. It was shocking how quickly we had our sounds dialed in and were recording. We are literally talking minutes.

We recorded both tracks live…. together…. as a band…. the way it was meant to be.
Everyone just crushed it. It really was a special day in the story that is Jaguar.

Jason’s Birthday

We celebrated Jason L. Heiser’s birthday with a meal worthy of a Rockstar. The menu featured Kyle’s world class brisket, Debra’s garlic potatoes and Rick’s Brussel sprouts. Mmmmmmmm….. even Jason’s favorite Aunt Renee was impressed. We ended with an Oreo Cookie Chocolate Chip Mint Ice Cream Cake. You got that right. The evening was a wonderful celebration with best friends and family.

Chris rides a bike

February 12, 2021
Chris decided on he should spend his last day in Las Vegas on a mountain bike. He went to McGhie's Bike Outpost in the tiny town of Blue Diamond, Nevada and Blake hooked him up. He really went out of his way to help Chris have one of his best bike experiences of his life. There is nothing like spending the day getting to know the Red Rock Mountains up close and personal. Chris has a new definition of the Wild West.

Chris, Debra and I then headed over to the Cottonwood Station Eatery for recap of the wonderful day. It was the end of another chapter of the story of Jaguar. We will continue this never ending journey of life, laughter and friendship. We eagerly await the next best day of our life.
