We are 2 days away from performing at Sapphire Beach. It is the reason we are here. It was the reason we came 30 years ago. In many ways our time together is more appreciated than it was in 1989.
We had a late practice to run through the second half of the setlist. Dave broke out his wha-wha pedal. Not one to be outdone, Chris whipped out his metronome. Things got real at 87 beats per minute.
After practice Billy and Dave entertained us with an unplugged set of Beatles music while Mike made his world famous hamburgers. We had a great Jaguar dinner poolside.

The rest of the evening was spent together in the pool, and in the hot tub. Lots of singing, dancing and laughing. There might have been a few cocktails………
